Refugee camps are filled with damaged shelters and torn tarpaulins, leaving children vulnerable to cold, hunger, and illness.
As temperatures drop, the dangers rise. Respiratory infections spread, frostbite becomes a real threat, and for the most vulnerable, winter can be life-threatening.
